Kosso is a new Korean BBQ joint that just opened at Westfield TTP. It replaced the old Chinese restaurant that used to be there next to the Hoyts Cinemas. It’s best to park at the McDonald’s carpark near where all the restaurants are as it’s not limited as this is sure to be a good 2-hour meal.
I was so excited that it finally opened in November as it was originally meant to open in late September but then it got changed to October followed by November and so we were kind of getting fed up with waiting. We were not sure if it was actually going to open but it did and so we booked a table for 5 people. It was worth the wait as it’s a modern BBQ spot with hi-tech facilities and it’s very spacious as it fits 150 people. This Korean bbq is worth coming back to as it has more non-BBQ dishes that just need improving with texture and flavour and has more variety of meats.
Favourite dishes: my favourite dishes were the bbq meat sets of course! We had the not confused! just well mixed set menu and the rolling in the beef set menu. Both were very generous serves with lovely marinade on the meats. Non-BBQ dishes I enjoyed the Japchae and bulgogi pancake. Japchae was delicious. Loved the sauce and the noodles were cooked to perfection! The bulgogi pancake had a lovely texture and had the beef flavour but no pieces of meat in it.
Least favourite: My least favourite dishes were the Korean fried chicken as it didn’t have a crunch to it. The skin was soft and a bit bland. The corn casserole was nice but needed to be baked a bit more as it didn’t have that crispy texture on top.
